This weekend I stayed fairly busy, rode around looked at lights, played nintendo and watched the movie Elf. All in all I had a good weekend.
I got my Time Warner bill in the mail and yet again they messed it up. I hope that everyone looks at their TWC bill every month. About every 3-4 months I have to call them and tell them they messed it up. This time they were charging me almost triple what they should be. For some reason they decided to upgrade my service without consulting me. I was so ticked off, the lady was asking me why I did not want the upgrade. First off, I did not ask for it and secondly you are charging me a lot more for it, so it should not matter why I dont want it just take it off my bill. I think sometimes they add extra charges thinking people will not realize they are on there and just pay it.
This morning I was leaving for work and when I walked out the door I smelled fire, and not the good fire, like someone has to keep warm, but the bad fire smell like something is on fire that should not be. (I already have this fear someone is gonna burn down my apartment ever since at the old place someone caught the other end of the building on fire) So I get in my truck and see what looks like sparks and smoke coming from another building, luckily I realized it was just a fireplace and next to it some christmas lights. So I get on I40 (which keep in mind where I get on is right behind my apartment building/complex) and see a vehicle on fire. I dont just mean a few flames shooting out the hood, but it was engulfed in flames. It was kind of scary, there were no firetrucks there but there were several cars and a big truck stopped around it. It seemed like everyone was ok, so as I was driving on I thought, those people really should not be park so close to the flaming vehicle. I later found out aparently some oil in the engine caught on fire or something like that. So I get off the highway and headed down Lead Mine Road towards work, but I get to a light and a police car is blocking the road, so I have to figure another way to work (which I dont know that area too well) so I turned right and as I’m turning I see yet another fire down the way something on the street. So I’m driving and decide to take North Hills Dr figuring it would take me to Lynn and I could cross back down. All of a sudden I realize it is really dark and cant figure out why. About the time I realize that there is no power in the area I am slamming on the brakes in the middle of the North Hills and Lynn intersection as I have no idea where I am and I can not see. This all made for a very interesting drive to work today.
It was extremely cold and of course no snow. As I have said before if it is gonna be cold it needs to snow.
Getting ready to head home to Maryland on Wednesday after work. I can not believe how quickly this year has gone by.
