Long Day – Lesson Learned

Well after the uhaul trailer drama I managed to get a lot done. Pretty much everything is out of my apartment except for a few things I will need and cleaning supplies. I must say I did a really good job of getting that trailer loaded and fit more in than I thought I would. (Not saying it is loaded correctly, I’m hoping it is though) As i got most in the trailer I did not have to put much in the bed of my truck and what did go back there is wrapped in tarp (rain protection) and a wire chain type thing with a pad lock to the hooks on the bed of my truck.

It was a hot one today and when I finished loading the trailer I felt horribly tired. I took a quick shower and went over to Greg’s to rest (as I knew if I stayed here I would not sit down and rest) I had not eaten all day and asked Greg if he would take me to get something to eat after I rested and started feeling a little better. As I was sitting there I started feeling progressivlly worse to the point I felt sick to my stomache, started shaking and thought I was going to pass out. Greg made me eat a banana slowly and drink somthing and I slowly started to feel better. I think it was probably a combination of mild heat exhaustion and not eatting all day. Once I finished the banana I felt a lot better.

Afterwards Brian came over and we went to eat pizza and I ate a lot, so I must have been hungry. We came back and Brian helped me carry down the stuff that went in the cab and bed of my truck. I loaded all that up, secured it and moved the truck and trailer to a spot that was not in the way and hopefully a good place so that no one can try to break in or take anything (I’m guessing I will be fine, but just to be on the safe side.)

Now I am just relaxing and taking it easy because I am beat.

Lesson of the Day: Don’t try to do a lot of work in the heat with out eating anything all day….
