It snowed today and I decided to watch a little TV and against my better judgement I watched a Lifetime Christmas movie – The Christmas Setup. I have never watched any of those types of movies, Christmas or not, even on another channel like Hallmark. It was the first time they had did a Christmas movie that revolved around gay characters. I will say it was nice to watch a movie in which the gay characters were not closeted, it was not taboo, etc.., as a matter of fact the fact that they were gay was just a matter of fact. You could have swapped them out with two straight characters and had the exact same movie. I would be nice if more movies that included gay characters did it the same way, there is no need to make such a big deal of it. All that said, the movie was still pretty bad and a typical Lifetime type movie – person in big city goes to small town falls in love blah blah blah.
