Well my planning last night was well worth it.
I drove to the BART station in South San Francisco and took it to the Balboa Park stop (which is the first stop considered to be in San Francisco from the southern end) and walked and bought myself a monthly MUNI pass which also includes BART trips within San Francisco (Balboa Park to Embarcadero). This will be well worth the money every month.
I then did a lot of jumping on the BART, MUNI and walking around the city. I went into a State Farm office to find out about auto insurance and as expected not cheap at all. The good news is the lady I spoke with was extemely nice and was giving me tips and advice on finding jobs and a place to live. She also gave me her card and told me that if I had any questions, insurance or move related to let her know and she would be happy to answer them for me. This is yet just another example of how San Franciscan’s (?) are extremely nice.
I then procedded to Randstad to see if they could help me find a job, but they not longer specialize in the area of work I am looking for, but the guy gave me a list of different employment placement places that I can give a try.
On the way to my next location I walked to the corner of Gough and Geary, which was always a nice sight to see when Greg and I were here in June. I then proceded to Hiaght Ashbury and walked around a bit and grabbed some lunch at a small Chinese place. It was really good and there was a lot of it for the price. I then walked past Trax, the bar that had the attractive bartender and when I looked in there were only two people in there and the bartender was not the same one, so I kept on walking.
I then proceded to walk through The Castro, by this point I was sweating from the walking so I just walked through and to the BART station and headed home. I plan on going back that way tomorrow but dressed more comfortably. I’m thinking possibly try to find a temporary job in that area some where could be fun.
That is it for now for today….
