For those that don’t know I love gay themed movies, books…ect…. The problem is it is hard to find any of these things around here (or at least the ones you are looking for because there is such a limited selection). Movies I will just order off line most of the time when I can not find them in the stores anywhere. However, with books when I find one I want to read I don’t want to order it online and wait for it to get here because by then I will have lost interest in starting it (I need to start a book when I am in the mood otherwise I will get out of that mood quickly). What normally ends up happening is I figure out a short list and go to the book stores. Oddly enough White Rabbit never seems to have what I am looking for and it kind of sucks because I would rather spend my money there then the other book stores, so I have pretty much given up on going there unless I can not find it anywhere else, and then even then they don’t have it. Barnes & Noble and Borders both have such small selections of Gay & Lesbian Literature, typically if I find one though it is at one of these two places, for some reason it always seems to be the one I go to last.
Anyway long story short (I know, too late) I was able to find one of the books I was looking for, The Year of Ice by Brian Malloy, so I am excited to start reading that very shortly. And even more exciting I found out that Christopher Rice has a new book coming out soon called Light Before Day, which I know that Barnes & Noble will carry because they always have his other two books in stock.
By the way if anyone has any suggestions of gay themed books I would love to hear what they are, and hopefully I will be able to find them somewhere. I have not read many so more then likely anything you suggest I have not read yet.
