Well I have been keeping busy with work and working lots of overtime. All this overtime will really work out well if it can continue until the end of July when I move. I know I have in the past been really wishy-washy with what I am going to do, but this San Francisco thing is really going to happen. I have been doing a lot of research and preparation.
Work has pretty much been annoying because I have somehow been put into a leadership role of our department “unofficially”. Unofficially meaning not getting paid more and not changing my title, ect… but everyone has been coming to me to fix problems, ask questions, copying me on emails, making sure things get done….. I am somewhat fine with this the problem is I dont have certain computer access to fix certain problems and I have gone to my two managers to try to get with them to discuss solutions and everytime pretty much get blown off. What is going to end up happening is we are going to get really behind and then it is going to come down on me why this is happening. It is so frustrating to try to fix things but physically can not do it and no one seems to want to help. Funny thing in our department is there are nine of us…one has been there about ten years or so and I have been there about 2 1/2 everyone else has been there less than a year, with three new people being there less then a month. We have not been at full staff fully trained for over a year. This should say a lot about the company. Enough bitching about that.
Weird thing…I was sitting here eating ice cream and after taking several spoonfulls I realized I was doing something. Typically when food is hot people tend to blow on it before putting it in their mouth, well I was doing this with the ice cream. It got me thinking do I do this all the time and not notice or was this just an odd one time wierd thing.
OK, ready for the work week. I had to take one day off this week in order to not hit my PTO cap so I have Thursday off and we are close for Good Friday but I will probably go in so that I can get the extra time, but it will be nice because it will be quiet. So technically a three day work week…yeaa
